Understanding Hardships

Written by – Riaan Meintjes

So today I thought about talking about the topic of self acceptance. I was in physics extra class (for my big exam) when I didn’t understand any the work and struggled to get it right. My mind then started to wonder to destructive thoughts of myself. I sat a while at home before realizing that such earthly things shouldn’t be the bias for which we judge ourselves, it’s important to work hard for your goals and future don’t get me wrong

-but if it’s destructive over you then you should focus on it in another sense:

That sense being to shut out the outside world in your thought patterns and let your judgement be the only biased one. It’s important to let other people give their opinions and to learn from them, but the moment your start to shape yourself according to that – you are harming yourself.

This all works together with thought and practice. Try sitting on your bed one night and just seeing all your problems on a black board in your head, now slowly try and resolve each one with the most rational possibility and slowly you will feel yourself gaining control again. This method has helped me and of my friends to clean up a scattered mind and to open up to future possibilities to resolve your problems you’re facing and trying to have a positive outlook on things.

Hope this help guys, trying my best to be unbiased for everyone of you!
